Day two of the annual NACS Government Relations Conference put attendees in front of their elected officials.

March 18, 2016

WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, NACS members from across the United States spent the day on Capitol Hill meeting with their senators and representatives about issues important to the convenience and fuel retailing industry. More than 120 retailers, suppliers and industry association executives attended this year’s Government Relations Conference, which included one day of presentations and preparation, followed by a second day in action on the Hill.

Over the course of the day on the Hill, GRC attendees participated in more than 230 congressional meetings. Participants enjoyed the pleasant spring weather as they traversed Capitol Hill, attending meetings on both the House and the Senate side, as well as in the Capitol building.

NACS Government Relations Conference is an exceptional event because it allows retailers to meet face to face with their members of Congress and speak directly about issues they are dealing with in their businesses. If you were unable to attend Government Relations Conference this year, you can still get involved with NACS and the legislative process.
