More Food Products Effected by Recall

Hydrolyzed vegetable protein has been found in more than 100 products.

MANHATTAN, Kan. - A recall for products containing hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP) has reached more than a 100 products, infoZine reports. Salmonella Tennessee has been found in HVP, which is a flavor enhancer added to other seasonings and spices.

A variety of processed foods contain HVP, including bouillon products, dips, chili, frozen dinners, stuffing, hot dogs, gravy mixes, snack foods and mixes, salad dressings and mixes, and soups and soup mixes.

The HVP product was manufactured in September. Snack and snack mix products included in the HVP recall include:

  • Great Nut Supply Honey Mustard Pretzels & Bar Mix
  • HK Anderson Honey Mustard Pretzel Bites
  • Tim??s Cascade Hawaiian style snacks
  • Herr??s Sea Salt Flavored Kettle Style Potato Chips
  • National Pretzel Company (various)
  • President's Choice Honey Mustard Onion Pretzel Bite snack
  • Pringles Restaurant Cravers Cheeseburger & Family Faves Taco Night
