ALEXANDRIA, Va.  – John Eichberger, NACS vice president of government relations and executive director of the Fuels Institute, has joined the Consumer Energy Alliance (CEA) board of directors.

“The availability and affordability of energy is critical to NACS members and their customers, not only on the sales, but the cost side of the ledger as well,” said Eichberger. “NACS is focused on reducing costs for our member companies and their customers and I am happy to join with Consumer Energy Alliance to help make that happen.”

“Convenience stores are a key part of the energy supply chain as well as the economy, and the first place many consumers come into contact with the energy industry,” said Jennifer Diggins, CEA chairman. “John’s experience in drawing diverse stakeholders together for a conversation on the importance of issues surrounding transportation fuels will be key in helping CEA continue to advance its mission of affordable, stable energy prices for its members and all of America’s energy consumers.”

“We are very excited to have John join the CEA Board. He brings a great deal of knowledge about energy prices and how they directly impact consumers and the overall economy,” said CEA President David Holt. “NACS is on the front line of the inter-relationship between consumers and fuels.”

Eichberger has been with NACS since 2000 and NACS has been a CEA member since 2012.
