WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- QuickChek Corporation has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in New Jersey” in 2014. It is the fifth consecutive year the convenience store chain has been named to the list compiled by the weekly business journal NJBIZ.

QuickChek enjoys the rare distinction of being named one of the “Best Places to Work” in both New Jersey and New York State, making the New York State Society of Human Resource Management list in 2013 and 2014. Privately-held, the company operates 137 retail locations throughout both states.

The “Best Places to Work in New Jersey” list recognizes the state’s top employers who show a dedication to their employees’ growth and quality of life. QuickChek prides itself on giving each of its team members the opportunity to grow professionally. Most current vice presidents and all of its district leaders started out working in company stores.

“We are very proud to once again be named one of the best places to work in New Jersey,” said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling, in a press release. “Our mission is to be a Great Place to Work, a Great Place to Shop and A Great Place to Invest. With over 3,500 team members in over 130 stores, we strive to create a positive experience and fun environment where core values are nurtured, hard work is rewarded and leadership is cultivated.”

QuickChek previously made the list in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and will receive its 2014 award on May 1 in a ceremony at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick.
