WOONSOCKET, R.I. - Last week, CVS/pharmacy introduced its Just the Basics private-label product line. With nearly 100 items, Just the Basics offers customers household, baby, groceries and personal care products. The company already plans to add more products to the line.

"We know our customers want the option to save where they can so they can spend where they want," said Grant Pill, vice president of merchandising for CVS/pharmacy, in a press release. "Just the Basics offers smart simplicity with a full line of basic products that customers need to get them through the day with even lower prices and the added convenience of shopping at CVS/pharmacy."

The drugstore chain developed Just the Basics to provide the best value on basic items customers shop for. Some of the Just the Basics products under the household banner include paper towels, sandwich bags, cleaners, laundry detergent and light bulbs. The private-label products extend to diapers, baby wipes, groceries, drinks, snacks, hair care and hosiery.
