SOCHI, Russia – The most amazing technology at the Olympics isn’t what’s happening on the slopes, but instead is housed in a red refrigerated vending machine, Yahoo! Sports reports. Molson’s put its Canadian beer machine in the Canadian housing in the Olympic Village.

The machine, decorated with the Canadian maple leaf, celebrates Canada, said Forest Kenney, Molson Coors spokesman. A Canadian passport is required to open the fridge, which is stocked with Molson beer.

“We knew Sochi would be a great fit for the passport fridge, and Molson Coors has been long-term partners with the Canadian Olympic Committee,” said Kenney. “As part (of) our collaboration, they invited us to play a role in the hospitality at their official Canada House in Olympic Village. The photo you may have seen circulating is actually one of the folks from our team at Canada House using her passport to open the fridge.”

The beer company launched the fridge in a TV commercial in 2013, but this has been the first time people have seen it on the ground.
