Wedded Bliss, Pizza-style

Domino’s Pizza now offers the ability for the bride and groom to register for pizza.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Instead of registering for dinnerware or sheets, couples can sign up for pizza packages like “Thank You Card-a-thon,” and “The Wedding Night” with Domino’s Pizza, the Detroit Free Press reports. The pizza chain now offers e-gift cards ranging from $20 to $100 on its wedding registry.

Pizza might not be the top of the list when it comes to wedding registries, but Domino’s figures it can capture some of the $58 billion wedding market. “Choosing wedding gifts can be a daunting process, especially if couples can’t agree on what to register for. Our registry aims to bring couples together over their shared love of pizza,” said spokeswoman Jenny Fouracre.

Bride-to-be Laura Krahel recently signed up for the registry. “I just thought it was really fun. We order pizza all the time and we make pizza at home. We have a regular registry and I know a lot of groomsmen who’d want to give [fiancé] Curtis this gift instead of maybe buying something for the kitchen,” she said.

“We hear often from customers that Domino’s was a part of their big day, from proposals to after-hours meals at their wedding. We wanted to make it easier for people to ask for and receive something that they’ll really use,” Fouracre said.
