WAWA, Pa. – Wawa Inc. announced last week that it has launched a new Wawa Remodel Program, an initiative in which the company will embark on a massive effort to remodel older, legacy stores to reflect Wawa’s latest store design and foodservice offering. Throughout 2015, Wawa will remodel 40 existing stores – the most remodels to happen in one year in Wawa’s history.

“This effort is extremely meaningful to all of as at Wawa, as it will enable us to share the most up-to-date Wawa brand features with more people in more places than ever before,” said Chris Gheysens, Wawa’s president and CEO. “Through this massive remodeling effort, we will enhance the customer and associate experience in our stores and begin to bring our older stores up-to-date by featuring our latest offer and design.

As part of the Remodel Program, all Wawa stores will implement layout features to improve efficiency and to support the convenience retailer’s expanded food and beverage offer. Customers can look forward to features including diesel pumps, new store graphics and designs, Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain machines and hand-spun milkshakes.

During the remodel process, stores will close for a few weeks while renovations take place.
