This week McDonald's Canada announced the introduction of Buttermilk Biscuits and the extension of breakfast hours to 11:00 a.m., seven days a week, at most locations across Canada.

"Our customers were keen for us to develop a new hand-held breakfast sandwich and we're thrilled to deliver on those expectations with a product that we know Canadians will love," said Anne Parks, director of menu management at McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Limited.

The new Buttermilk Biscuit marks the most significant breakfast menu launch for McDonald's Canada since the McGriddles successfully debuted in 2003.

"With the growing popularity of our Premium Roast Coffee and our extended hours, we continue to enhance Canadians' breakfast experience with what we believe to be the best-in-class biscuit," added Parks.

The new Buttermilk Biscuit can be enjoyed a variety of ways: as a Sausage, Egg and Processed Cheese Biscuit; as a Bacon, Egg and Processed Cheese Biscuit; as a Sausage Biscuit (part of Value Picks options); or on its own with strawberry jam.
