Speedway Exceeds $53 Million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

The retailer contributed $6.4 million to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in 2012; total fundraising is more than $53 million since 1991.

SALT LAKE CITY - Children??s Miracle Network Hospitals announced today that, through generous donations from its customers, vendors and employees, Speedway contributed $6.4 million to Children??s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2012, propelling the company??s total fundraising to more than $53 million since 1991. Donations in 2012 rose 5% over the previous year and benefited 17 member children??s hospitals.

"Crossing the $50 million mark in funds raised is a remarkable achievement," said John Lauck, president and CEO for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. "We congratulate Speedway and recognize them for their commitment to help kids in their own communities. Because of Speedway??s generous support, our member hospitals are able to provide the expert and tender care their young patients so desperately need."

A corporate partner of Children??s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1991, Speedway has raised more than $53 million for the charity through a variety of initiatives. Turnkey programs including canister campaigns, grassroots fundraising activities, employee payroll deduction programs and an annual corporate golf tournament have all contributed to Speedway??s ability to support the Children??s Miracle Network Hospitals in their communities.
