NEW YORK – CNN offered a peek inside the world’s first McDonald’s Next concept, which made its debut in December in Hong Kong.

The news source writes that McDonald's transformed one of its Hong Kong locations into the world's first McDonald's Next, “an evolved version of the brand that strives to be ‘modern and progressive.’”

In place of the red and yellow branding is “a sleek black-and-white logo, ambient lighting, glass and metallic interiors,” as well as the addition of a salad bar, complete with 19 ingredients including "two choices of salad base greens, two kinds of cheese, three flavors of sauces" and quinoa.

Additionally, McDonald's Next offers table service after 6 pm and premium coffee blends. The new restaurant also features mobile charging platforms, free Wi-Fi and self-ordering kiosks.

Along with the new offers, McDonald's Next is introducing the new Create Your Taste (CYT) concept, which allows visitors to customize their burgers via touch screen ordering. CYT was launched in early 2015 in select locations in the United States, the UAE, China and Australia, writes CNN.
