LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky Fried Chicken has announced its new menu item, KFC Nashville Hot Chicken, by delivering it via food truck before its national debut.

While the Nashville Hot Chicken was originally created in Nashville, Tennessee, KFC is packing up its food truck and giving an advance tasting to folks residing in Nashvilles in eight states that do not have a nearby KFC restaurant: Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kansas and North Carolina.

The KFC Nashville Hot tour kicked off on January 7 in Nashville Village, Ohio, and will end on January 20 in Nashville Town, North Carolina, with stops at six additional Nashvilles in between. When KFC Nashville Hot Chicken hits all 4,300 KFC locations nationwide, it will be available in both extra crispy chicken and tenders.
