ALEXANDRIA, VA - Registration is now under way for this year??s NACS Leadership Challenge, the industry??s premier leadership development program for district managers and supervisors. The event takes place April 7 to 12, in Warrenton, Va., at the Airlie Center.

The NACS Leadership Challenge is designed to help participants discover personal leadership strengths and weaknesses; develop skills to help store managers create profitable, performance-oriented environments such as emotional intelligence and listening skills; and learn from exceptional instructors and high performance peers.

The program, facilitated by the Glen Douglas Group, features five days of intensive classroom instruction, six months of online support and coaching, and a one-day follow up program at the NACS Show in Atlanta, during which Leadership Challenge participants will present their project during an educational session.

"In going to the leadership challenge, I found that there were things I needed to change about myself and once I figured out what those things were, I brought ten of our bottom performing stores into the upper percentile of the group," said Amber Zubricky, retail area manager, Riiser Energy. "I would recommend this to anyone, especially a newer area manager. I was only in my position a year when I went through the program it really helped me focus and work on things that needed changing."

Event details are available online and registration is limited to convenience retailers. Contact Jenn Makarsky at jmakarsky@nacsonline.com or (703) 518-4295 for more information about the event.
