Starbucks Re-Launches Steel-Cut Oatmeal

The foodservice fare, renamed Starbucks Classic Oatmeal, is now available in 4,500 U.S. stores.

SEATTLE - Starbucks announced earlier this week that it is revamping its Perfect Oatmeal formula to one featuring steel-cut and rolled oats and bearing a new name: Starbucks Classic Oatmeal.

Commensurate with the announcement, the coffee giant began selling Starbucks Hearty Blueberry Oatmeal, which features a blend of steel-cut and rolled oats, along with fresh blueberries, at roughly 4,500 stores in the U.S., The oatmeal tallies 280-calories and six grams of fiber.

"We know many people make wellness resolutions to kick-off the New Year and we??re excited to offer steel-cut oats and fresh fruit as part of our new oatmeal offering with Hearty Blueberry Oatmeal," said Mary Wagner, senior vice president, research and development, Starbucks Coffee Company. "Starbucks oatmeal has been a customer favorite since its launch in 2008 and we??re committed to continuing to innovate and provide selections that support a healthy lifestyle."

Starbucks Classic Oatmeal will continue to be offered at participating company-operated stores in the U.S. and Canada.
